September 2026

Welcome to my website. Thank you for joining me here. I was a psychologist, now I am a painter thanks to my MA and MFA at the Manchester School of Art (MMU).

Life is busy. Painting is remarkably time-consuming - planning the next painting, laying the first brush strokes down, developing the evolving image and eventually reaching that point that is so inevitable but so difficult. When is it time to lay down my brush and walk away. How amazing it is to have created an image from a handful of paints and an empty canvas that someone may buy and take home and love. It is alchemy!

And outside of my studio,I am learning about the busy life as a professional artist. I have displayed and sold my work at art fairs and galleries in Manchester, Harrogate, Chester and London. The art fairs are exhausting, exhilarating experiences. This is where I have the conversation about my work with others. People from all over the world, different ages, different opinions. So interesting.

There are other experiences - currently I have a solo exhibition at The Royal Liver Building in Liverpool organised by Little Van Gogh. One of my paintings is now in the permanent collection of the wonderful charity, James’ Place, where it hangs in the therapy area. After my past career, it is so good to know that art has a language that reaches people.

Soon I will exhibiting at Goosfest Art in the Barns in Cheshire, (24th - 27th September 2026) And then at the Manchester Art Fair in November (19th - 22nd November 2026). Next year I will be at the Fusion Art Fair in Chester (23rd - 25th April2027). And who knows where else. So exciting - come along and join the conversation!

In the meantime, look out for one of my latest paintings among the posters at Pimlico Underground station in London - in October, dates to follow)

And in-between all this, I will be back in my studio.Working on some new pieces. So much to look forward to!!
